Kampong Phluk is one of a villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap and floating forest,it was recommended by lonely planet for the best place during weat season agust to February

Local Markets, like Psar Leu, Psar Chas, Psar sama Kii, and Psar Kodal and Night Market open everyday. All of these Market are not very far, they are in town and it is walkable. Phsar Chas is very Popular by the tourists in the afternoon and there are many Cambodian goods that you can buy for family and friends at home. Phsar Lue and Phar Sama Kii are very well know by the locals.
