welcome to trusty tuk tuk !

My name is Sokly and I was born here in the province of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I have been driving tuktuks in Siem Reap since 2006, and provide my tuktuk service for tourists when they come to see the many historical wonders of our city.
I grew up in a rural area in the Siem Reap province, and was lucky enough to attend a High School in Siem Reap town in 2005. During my last year of my Primary School I started learning English for one hour a day in the evening.I kept learning for three years until I learned basic English, as it's an important language for us to know in Cambodia.
I am speaking English well
After I finished High School, I went to find a job as a motor bike taxi driver at an airport for a year. At the end of the year I met Mr Frank from the Netherlands. He flew from Bangkok to Siem Reap for his first time visiting and he was staying here for a week.
This was my last time working in an airport. I had no money to rent the turn in the airport anymore and he ask me how about becoming a Tuk Tuk driver? I said it was a good idea and he help me purchase a second hand tuktuk.

Why is Trustytuktuk & Who's build the website???
This is not my idea, cause I just a driver tuk tuk who have no idea about technology, This is also the BIG GIFT from one of my guest Mr.Derek From Switzerland, we met in July 2013 when he was my guest for 3 days in Siem Reap, on the last day he asked me how can I find a new guest? I told him “I just waiting my new guest at the bus stop every day and if lucky enough I can meet my guest, if not I back home after whole day waiting…”
We say goodbye and 01 month after, I received an email from him with the account to sign in the website Trustytuktuk.com (run under the platform provided free by Weebly.com) – and then beside I do waiting my new guest at bus top, and also waiting for my new guest visit my website.

Special Support with marketing and personal credibility building.
In July 2016 I met Mr. Huy from Vietnam at the bus station for first time. He was quite wondered when he met me, it took me half an hour to convince him to choose me, for his 3-days trip in Siemreap.
(He was afraid I would scam him or ask for a higher price than usual.)
Even though I had a website at that time, but guest didn't know about it
So I still looked for new customers at the bus stop like before.
He instructed me sign up for an account on Tripadvisor (then give me a first review), created my facebook fanpage, drew my logo, design my name card, rearranged & reorganized the website content, images, gave me advice on self-marketing… and finally created a new and more professional website with the Sponsor of his friend from Alisso Design.
P/S: (Huy even visited my house, and bought my kids bunk beds, seeing that they had to sleep on the floor, and also bought my family a washing machine to help us have more rest time. Few years later - When he knew I was in trouble, he sent money to help my wife and child who had to have brain tumor surgery..)
..And after all those help, I got more clients more friends ...and life got better for my family.
Thanks for reading my history of becoming a Tuk Tuk driver. I hope to provide a high quality service to you.
